Knocked Down, but Not Out!

These days our hearts can be tempted to become fearful and worry about many unknown situations. But as we look at this wonderful story of Joseph, there are four statements that are important to remember during our trials, temptations, and persecutions.

1. The Lord was with Joseph. Genesis 39:2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, serving in the household of his Egyptian master. (CSB) 2. Joseph was successful in the important things of life. Genesis 39:3 When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made everything he did successful, (CSB) 3. The Lord gave Joseph favor in the eyes of non-believers. Genesis 39:4 Joseph found favor with his master and became his personal attendant. 4. Joseph became a blessing to others. Genesis 39:5 From the time that he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph. The truth evidenced in Joseph’s life is for all of us, whatever your situation may be. Claim the supernatural strength that comes from knowing Jesus Christ and allowing the Holy Spirit to control your life. Right now, at this very moment, decide to be a Joseph. Make up your mind to join his ranks and from this day forward resist. You may be knocked down but you’re not out!
