For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. 14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it. (Christian Standard Bible)
I don’t think there has been any time in history where the gap between the broad and narrow road has been wider, especially in the Great Valley area. The offer of wealth and power, the chance to be part of a political revolution as well as the next revolution in knowledge and technology is enormously persuasive. This period in our nation’s history has perhaps never been more dismissive of God and most likely to make fun of Christian living. The notion that there is a narrow road that leads to life is met with contempt. But Jesus’ words will not go away.
